Writing about the lyrics of Lucky Stars is probably going to be anti-climatic, since it’s really just a playful use of words. You have me applying a number of negative adjectives about love, as if I am talking to Love (as a noun), and then submitting to Love at the end of the song. It reminds me of the days when lyricists used to write for crooners like Sinatra, Bobby Darin, Bing Crosby, Cole Porter, (I listened to a lot of Cole Porter when I was younger because my Grandma loved him. She would have been horrified to know he was gay) or musicals.
The bridge is a little more interesting because I am using the Humpty Dumpty nursery rhyme as a metaphor to describe an emotionally challenged (euphemism for ‘psycho’) girl who goes through a multitude of guys that want to be her caretaker, only to end up being dumped over and over.
